Branding & Graphic Design in Lagos

Logos, brand identity systems, guidelines and marketing graphics that make your business look consistent and credible — on Instagram, on your website and in print.

Look like the business you're becoming

People decide whether to trust a business in seconds, and most of that judgement is visual: the logo on your shopfront, the flyer in their WhatsApp status, the profile picture on Instagram, the invoice you send. When those pieces don't match — different colours, stretched logos, five fonts — customers notice, even if they can't say why.

theHoracle Studio designs brand identities and marketing graphics that make small and growing businesses look established and consistent everywhere they appear. The studio is led by James Morgan (theHoracle), a designer and software engineer in Lagos, so your brand is designed to work on screens and websites as well as on paper.

Branding services

Brand identity

  • Logo design — primary logo, simplified mark and icon versions
  • Colour palette with exact values for screen (RGB/HEX) and print (CMYK)
  • Typography system — which fonts to use for headings, body text and graphics
  • Logo usage rules: spacing, minimum sizes, what not to do
  • Final files in every format you'll need (SVG, PNG, PDF), organised and named properly

Brand guidelines

A clear document your team, printers and future designers can follow, so the brand stays consistent long after the project ends.

Rebranding

For established businesses that have outgrown a logo made in a hurry. We keep the recognition you've built while modernising the look, and plan the rollout across signage, social media, website and print.

A logo is the signature, but customers experience your brand through everything around it. A complete identity answers questions like these, so you never have to improvise:

  • What do we look like? Logo versions, colours, fonts, photo style and graphic elements.
  • How do we sound? The tone of your captions, emails and replies — formal or friendly, playful or premium.
  • Where does it appear? Signage, packaging, uniforms, social media, website, invoices, vehicles and email signatures.
  • Who maintains it? Templates and guidelines so your team, or the next designer you hire, can create new material that still looks like you.

Signs it's time to rebrand

  • Your logo looks blurry or breaks when it's small, or only exists as a low-resolution JPG.
  • Your Instagram page, shop sign and business cards all look like different companies.
  • You've moved upmarket, but your visuals still say "side hustle".
  • You're entering a new market or launching a new product line, and the old identity doesn't fit.
  • You're embarrassed to hand over your business card.

If two or more of these sound familiar, a refresh will probably pay for itself in the trust it earns.

Our design process

1. Brief and discovery

We start with your business, your customers and your competitors. What should people feel when they see your brand? Who are you trying to attract — and who are you not for? We collect examples you like and dislike.

2. Concepts

We present a focused set of design directions, each explained: why this shape, this colour, this typeface. Not fifty random options — a few considered ones.

3. Refinement

You choose a direction and we refine it together until it's right, checking it at small sizes (a WhatsApp profile picture), large sizes (a banner) and in one colour (a stamp or embroidery).

4. Delivery

You receive organised final files, colour codes and usage guidance, plus print-ready versions with the correct colour mode and bleed for anything going to a printer.

Design that works on screens and in print

Because the studio also builds websites and handles print production, every identity is tested across both worlds:

  • Logos that stay readable as a tiny favicon and on a 3-metre banner
  • Colours specified for screen and for print, so your brand doesn't shift between Instagram and your business card
  • Typography that is legible on a phone screen and available for use on the web
  • Templates your team can reuse without breaking the design

What affects the cost of branding

  • Scope. A logo and colour palette is a smaller job than a full identity system with guidelines, social templates and stationery.
  • Research and strategy. Naming, positioning and competitor research add time — and value — for new businesses.
  • Number of applications. Each extra item (signage, packaging, uniforms, vehicle branding) needs its own design work.
  • Rebrand complexity. Rolling out a new identity across existing materials takes planning.

Our project cost calculator currently lists a Brand Starter (logo direction, colour palette and typography) from $650, a full Brand Identity Pro suite from $1,500 and a Rebrand Package from $2,400, with add-ons like a brand guidelines PDF (from $150) and a social media kit (from $120). For one-off graphics, flyer designs start from $50 and social content packs from $100. Prices can be viewed in naira. Not sure what you need? Start with our branding checklist for small businesses.

Frequently asked questions

What files will I receive?
Vector files (SVG and PDF) for printing and scaling, PNGs with transparent backgrounds for everyday use, versions for light and dark backgrounds, and a colour reference. Our guide to logo file formats explains when to use each one.
How many revisions are included?
Revisions are agreed in your quote. In practice, a good brief and a focused set of concepts mean most projects need only a few rounds of refinement.
Can you design just a logo?
Yes — but a logo on its own rarely makes a brand. At minimum we recommend agreeing colours and fonts with it, so everything you create next looks consistent.
Do you design social media content every month?
We can create reusable templates and campaign packs, and quote for ongoing design support if you need regular content.
Can you redesign my existing logo?
Yes. We'll review what's working, keep the recognisable parts if they're worth keeping, and modernise the rest.
How long does a branding project take?
A logo and starter identity typically takes a few weeks from brief to final files, depending on how quickly feedback comes in. Full identity systems and rebrands take longer because there are more applications to design and roll out. Your quote includes a timeline.
