Frequently asked questions
How do I write a Nigerian number in a WhatsApp link?
Use the country code 234, drop the leading 0 and remove spaces and symbols. For example, 0813 256 4274 becomes 2348132564274, so the link is https://wa.me/2348132564274. The generator does this for you.
Does the customer need to save my number first?
No. Tapping a wa.me link opens a WhatsApp chat with your number straight away, on phones and on WhatsApp Web.
Can I change the pre-filled message later?
The message is part of the link, so a different message needs a new link. You can create as many links as you like — for example one per product.
Is my number stored anywhere?
No. The link and QR code are generated in your browser and nothing you type is sent to our servers.
