Flyer & Print Design in Lagos
Event, promo and real estate flyers for WhatsApp, Instagram and print — plus business cards, banners, roll-ups, brochures and branded merchandise, prepared properly for print.
Print and flyers that get picked up, not thrown away
A flyer has a few seconds to do its job — on a WhatsApp status, an Instagram feed, a church notice board or a table at an event. If the date is hard to find, the photo is blurry or the price is buried, it's ignored. And a beautiful design can still come back from the printer with the edges cut off and the colours muddy.
theHoracle Studio designs flyers, e-flyers and printed marketing materials for Lagos businesses, churches, events and brands, and prepares every file properly for print so what you see on screen is what you hold in your hand. The studio is run by James Morgan (theHoracle), a Lagos designer and developer whose work spans websites, brand identity and print.

Design for screens and paper — at the same time
Most events and promotions in Nigeria now run on two tracks: a digital flyer shared on WhatsApp and Instagram, and printed copies for the venue, the shop or the street. We design both together:
- One design, the right formats. A square or portrait version for feeds, a 9:16 version for status and stories, and print sizes like A5, A4 or A3 — each laid out for its format, not just resized.
- Readable on a small phone. Headlines, dates, venues and prices are sized to be read on a phone screen before anyone taps to zoom.
- Print-ready files. Correct size, bleed, safe margins, resolution and colour mode, so nothing important gets trimmed and colours print as expected.
Our flyer size guide lists the common print and social media sizes, and our print-ready file checklist explains what printers need.
What makes a flyer convert
Every flyer we design follows a few rules that come from what actually works:
- One message. A flyer that tries to say five things says nothing. We decide the single most important message first.
- Clear hierarchy. What it is, when, where, how much, and what to do next — in that order of visual importance.
- A real call to action. A phone number, WhatsApp number, booking link or QR code that is large enough to use.
- Brand consistency. Your colours, fonts and logo, so every flyer builds recognition instead of starting from zero.
- Strong imagery. Sharp, well-lit photos, cut out and composed properly — no stretched or pixelated images.
We go deeper in flyer design that converts.
How a print or flyer job works
1. Brief
Send us the details — the event or offer, date, venue, prices, contact details and any photos or logos. The clearer the brief, the faster the turnaround.
2. Design
We create the design and send a preview. You review the content carefully (names, dates and phone numbers are where most mistakes hide) and request changes.
3. Formats and files
Once approved, we export every format you need: digital versions for social media and print-ready PDFs for the printer.
4. Printing and delivery
For print jobs, we prepare the files, agree the paper or material and finish, and coordinate production so you receive finished materials ready to use.
Paper, finishes and materials, explained
The same design can look premium or cheap depending on what it's printed on. Here's what we help you choose:
- Paper weight. Measured in gsm (grams per square metre). Thin paper (around 80–130gsm) suits handouts and inserts; flyers that need to feel solid are usually printed on heavier stock, and business cards on thick card.
- Finish. Gloss makes colours and photos pop; matte looks understated and is easier to write on; lamination protects items that get handled a lot, like menus and rate cards.
- Large format. Banners, roll-up stands and backdrops are printed on flex, vinyl or fabric, and need designs with large, simple text that can be read from a distance.
- Merchandise. Shirts, caps and mugs each have their own print methods and colour limits, so artwork is adapted for the item rather than copied straight from a flyer.
Common mistakes we fix before anything is printed
- Text placed too close to the edge, where it can be trimmed off
- Low-resolution logos or photos copied from WhatsApp, which print blurry
- Bright on-screen colours that print dull because the file was never converted for print
- Phone numbers and dates with typos — we always ask you to check these one last time
- QR codes that are too small to scan, or that point to the wrong link
What affects the cost of flyer and print design
- Design complexity. A text-led announcement is quicker than a photo-heavy campaign with cut-outs and illustrations.
- Number of formats. Each extra size or platform version needs layout work.
- Turnaround. Rush jobs need to be prioritised over other work.
- Print specification. Quantity, size, paper weight, finish (matte, gloss, lamination), and material for banners or merch.
Our project cost calculator currently starts flyer designs from $50, banner designs from $70, invitation designs from $140 and social content packs from $100, with optional 48-hour rush delivery (from $90) and a print-ready package with CMYK setup and bleed (from $70). Printing itself is quoted per job because it depends on quantity and materials. Estimates can be shown in naira.

Frequently asked questions
- How quickly can you design a flyer?
- Simple flyers are usually turned around quickly once we have all the content. If your event is close, ask about rush delivery — and send complete details up front, since missing information is the biggest cause of delay.
- Can you print and deliver the flyers too?
- Yes, we handle print jobs from design to finished materials. Tell us the quantity, size and where you need them, and we'll quote for printing alongside the design.
- What's the difference between an e-flyer and a print flyer?
- An e-flyer is designed for screens (RGB colour, sized for social platforms, optimised file size). A print flyer needs CMYK colour, high resolution, bleed and safe margins. We can produce both from the same design.
- Can I edit the flyer myself later?
- Editable source files can be included, and for recurring flyers (weekly services, monthly promos) we can design a template you can update.
- Do you design for churches and events?
- Yes — church programmes, conferences, convocations, concerts and private events are a regular part of our flyer work. Browse the e-flyer gallery.
- What information should I send for a flyer?
- The headline or event name, date and time, venue or address, prices or ticket details, contact number or WhatsApp link, any guest names or speakers, and your logo and photos in the best quality you have. A short note about the mood you want (corporate, festive, elegant, bold) helps too.
