Mugpit — Custom Mug Online Store
Built for Mugpit, this page walks through the process, deliverables, and outcomes behind the project.
Overview
Mugpit is a printing brand that sells and customises mugs for events, gifting, corporate branding and everyday use, with delivery in Nigeria. theHoracle Studio designed and developed the Mugpit website: a fast online store where customers can browse mug types, compare sizes and specifications, and order online.
The challenge
Custom merchandise is easy to sell in conversation and hard to sell online. Customers need to understand materials, sizes and finishes; the business needs to enforce a minimum order quantity; and buyers want to pay securely without a long back-and-forth. Mugpit needed a store that:
- Presents each mug type clearly, with real specifications rather than vague descriptions
- Handles bulk and minimum-order rules, since custom mugs are produced by the dozen
- Answers the questions customers ask before ordering
- Takes payment online in naira
- Can be managed by the Mugpit team without a developer
What we built
A clear product catalogue
The store presents Mugpit's range — including ceramic, stoneware and bone china mugs — with dedicated product pages. Each page covers materials, finish, colour options, capacity, dimensions and care instructions, and lists sizes such as 11 oz, 15 oz and 20 oz, so buyers can choose confidently.
Ordering rules built into the store
Custom mugs are produced in batches, so the store communicates the minimum order (one dozen) directly on product pages and in the FAQ, setting expectations before checkout instead of in a chat afterwards.
Cart and online payment
Customers add products to a cart and pay online through Paystack, in naira — no need to wait for account details over WhatsApp.
Answers before customers ask
A FAQ section addresses the most common pre-purchase questions: minimum order quantity, putting your own design on a mug, delivery times and whether Mugpit sells other items.
Content the team can manage
The site is powered by Payload CMS, so the Mugpit team can update products, prices, banners and promotions from an admin panel.
Tech stack
- Next.js for a fast, search-friendly storefront
- Payload CMS for products, pages and promotions
- Paystack for online payments in naira
Our role
theHoracle Studio handled the design and development of the website, from structuring the catalogue and product pages to building the storefront, cart and checkout integration and setting up the CMS.
Result
The Mugpit store is live at mugpit.com, giving the brand a professional storefront for custom and ready-to-ship mugs that customers can browse and pay for online.
